Palestinian Return Center warns of Zionist plan to deport released prisoners
[17/ April/2024]
GAZA April 17. 2024 (Saba) - The Palestinian Return Center has stated that it had submitted a report to the UN Human Rights Council entitled “Plan of the Zionist Authorities to Expel Palestinian Political Prisoners,” which was submitted in accordance with Economic and Social Council Resolution 1996/31.

The Palestinian Information Center quoted the Palestinian “Return” Center in a statement as saying “The report warned of a Zionist plan to expel about 450 Palestinian prisoners from East al-Quds and the occupied areas to the areas of the Palestinian Authority,” pointing to “alleged links to terrorism.”

The report added “There is a coordinated effort by the Zionist authorities, including members of the Knesset, to expel the Palestinians from their homes, for political reasons, which is a flagrant violation of international law.”

According to the Palestinian Return Center, “the unproven allegations of links to terrorism with which 450 Palestinian political prisoners have been accused are not only unproven, but are being used against them because they are of Palestinian origin.”

The center continued “Zionist Jewish prisoners accused of terrorism in the Zionist entity do not receive a similar punishment, even though they are supposed to be citizens of the same country. They are accused of the same crime, yet they receive different punishments based on their ethnic background, which is considered a crime of discrimination” “Racist,” according to the report.

It said "The issue does not stop at a Zionist plan to deport the released Palestinian political prisoners only, but also the inhuman and brutal treatment to which these prisoners were subjected at the hands of the Zionist authorities."

The Center concluded its report by calling on members of the United Nations Human Rights Council to review these details, “to condemn the forced displacement of Palestinians by the Zionist enemy, and to work to use diplomacy to ensure that this crime does not happen to 450 Palestinian political prisoners.”

The Center urged the United Nations rapporteurs and all members of the Council to “condemn the Zionist enemy’s continued steps in ignoring international law and committing blatant war crimes and crimes against humanity in front of the entire world.”
