Discussing ICRC interventions in health sector in Al-Bayda

BAYDA April 16. 2024 (Saba) - The Governor of Al-Bayda, Abdullah Idris, discussed with Vice-President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Thuraya Radi, the needs of the health sector and the Cross’s interventions in this aspect.

In the meeting, which was attended by the governor’s undersecretaries, Mutahar Al-Maori, and Ahmed Al-Sayqal, the governor of Al-Bayda stressed the importance of working and intervening according to a clear and specific vision of the needs and priorities of the province in various sectors.

He praised the efforts of the Red Cross mission in implementing a number of health programs in the province, expressing the readiness of the local authority to overcome the difficulties facing the activities and programs of organizations working in the humanitarian field in a way that contributes to expanding its support for activities and development efforts in the province.

While the director of the branch of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs, Abdul-Jabbar Al-Amdi, touched on the humanitarian conditions in the province and the most prominent needs.

In turn, Radhi stressed keenness to support the health sector in a way that contributes to improving the services provided to citizens

In addition, Governor Idris and the Vice-Chairman of the Committee were briefed on the level of services provided by Radaa Central Hospital, and they heard from the hospital director, Dr. Ali Jaroon, an explanation of the services provided by the Watery Diarrhea Treatment Center to patients, and the most prominent needs necessary to improve performance.
