SANAA, April 16 (Saba) - Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Aziz Al-Kummaim on Tuesday met with the Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Program Wael Al-Ashhab.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Planning welcomed the director of the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-HABITAT) in his first visit to Yemen to launch the activities of the program. He stressed the keenness of the government represented by the Ministry of Planning to provide all available support to facilitate and enhance the activities of the program.
The Minister stressed the importance of strengthening the cooperation frameworks between Yemen and the United Nations Human Settlements Program, which serves the common objectives of promoting sustainable development in the social and environmental fields.
For his part, the Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Program stressed the program's keenness to provide all aspects of support to the areas of human gatherings in Yemen to contribute to the development and promotion of sustainable development.
