SANAA, Feb. 13 (SANA) -Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Hussein al-Ezzi met on Wednesday with senior representatives of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and his accompanying delegation, which is visiting the country from February 13 to 18.

During the meeting, they discussed the humanitarian and developmental situation, ways of supporting national institutions and strengthening their role to serve the Yemeni people, as well as the appreciated role played by friendly Kingdom of Sweden and its support for the Yemeni people to achieve peace in country and alleviate their human suffering.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed the continued aggression of the US-Saudi-UAE coalition on Yemen, their daily basis war crimes, as well as systematic destruction of Yemen land, especially in the economic and development arena, including preventing the payment of salaries to state employees for nearly two years.

Al-Ezzi praised the Swedish government's halt to arms sales to countries of aggression.

He stressed that this decision reflected the wisdom of the Swedish leadership and people, in addition to being a clear and honest message that the principles of humanity and democracy and respect for people and dignity are the values ​​that must be won by all governments in the world.

Al-Ezzi reiterated the readiness of the national authorities in Sanaa to provide all necessary facilities and cooperation to ensure the success of the functions of the Agency and all other humanitarian actors in the country.

For her part, the agency's official praised the facilities provided for the activities and functions of the International Red Cross, which is supported by the Swedish Agency.

She stressed that Yemen is rich with all its human, economic and productive resources, and all it needs is to achieve peace so that the Yemeni people enjoy the decent life and prosperity it deserves.
