SANAA, Jan. 20 (Saba) - The May 22 team on Saturday failed to win over Abrouba when they drew 2-2 in their opening match organized in the capital Sanaa of the first round of the second Winter Football Forum.
Arouba scored the first goal after a header kick by Yasser Al Jaber in the 15th minute, before May 22 scored the goals of the equalization by Ali Degish and Salah Al-Ziqi in the 35 and 40 minutes ending the first half of this result.
In the second half, May 22 tried to score the goal of strengthening in order to secure the three points and win, but Arouba foiled the plans of 22 May to modify the result while the game risks to be ended through Abdel-Jabbar Montasser.
With this result, the two teams put both points in their bag to finish sixth.
The first round games started on Wednesday and witnessed the victory of Shaab ver the Shourta 5-0 and in the game of Thursday resulted in Al Ahli winning over Yarmouk 4-1 and Wahda beat Azal team 3-0 in the match that gathered them yesterday.
On the other hand, the draw of the corporate and university championships was held today, with the teams participating in the corporate tournament divided into three groups.
The first group included teams, the Amazon, Jamaan, Yemen and Kuwait Bank, the towers of equipment and the Universe Telecom. Yemen International Bank, Yemen Airways, Gouda Food and Panasonic came within the second group. The third teams, Sweden Media, Al Gharashi Telecom, Bank, Forwarder and Max.
