SANAA, Jan. 19 (Saba) - The National Meteorological Center (NMC) expects a warm and cold weather during the night and early morning on mountainous highlands, inland plateaus and desert areas within the next 24 hours.
The center said in its bulletin released on Friday, that the atmosphere in the mountainous highlands and inner plateaus will be awaking and cold during the night and early morning on the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar and Bayda and parts of the inner plateaus.
The center pointed out that the atmosphere in western coast and Bab al-Mandab will be awaking to partly cloudy and the wind is southeasterly to northwesterly with a gentle breeze on the northern part and moderate on the southern part and its speed is from 7 to 16 knots.
In the Socotra archipelago, the weather will be cloudy to partly cloudy with the possibility of mild to moderate winds and northeasterly to easterly winds, and at a speed of 7 to 12 knots.
The National Center for Meteorology warned citizens of cold weather during the night and early morning, and widespread dust, especially the elderly, children and asthma patients and those who have a have problems in sinuses.
It also warned farmers in the above-mentioned areas of cold wave effects to preserve their agricultural crops.
