SANAA, Jan. 17 (Saba) - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Dr. Hussein Makbouli and Minister of Youth and Sports Hassan Zeidon Thursday inaugurated the Second Winter Sports Forum organized by the Sanaa Wahda Club.



The two-month forum is attended by 800 athletes representing the capital's clubs, universities, companies, communities, orphanages, civil society organizations, schools and institutes.



The forum includes games, football, basketball, table tennis, field tennis, taekwondo, judo, karate and kickboxing, as well as cultural and feminist activities.



In the inauguration, the minister Zaid expressed his admiration for the level of organization which reflects the steadfastness of athletes despite the current circumstances due to the aggression and siege.



Mayor of the capital Sana'a Hammoud obaid said that the establishment of this sports forum represents a message that shows the cohesion and hardness of the Yemeni people in the face of challenges.



He praised the efforts of the organizers of this forum, which reflects the interest in various fields to discover the abilities of youth and heroes.



After the inauguration, a carnival was presented by the sports teams with a painting on behalf of Yemen.



A match was held between Al Ahly and Al-Remok, where the first team scored four goals in the first round.



The football competition was launched yesterday and the Shaab team won over Shourta team with five clean goals.



Al-Wahda, Al-Ahli, Al Shaab, May 22, Yarmouk, Al-Farka, Azal and Arouba teams are all participating in the tournament.
