SANAA, Jan. 15 (Saba) - Croatia striker Ivo Karlovic has sent a 39 blow to become the oldest player to win the Australian Open in more than 40 years after beating 18-year-old Hubert Hurkacz to reach the second round on Tuesday.
On a hot day in Melbourne Park, Karlovic, 6-3, 7-6, 7-6, 7-6, won the No. 19 spot to become the biggest winner of the tournament since Australian legend Ken Roswell made it to the third round at 44.
