SANAA, Dec. 15 (Saba) - Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor congratulated the Yemeni people on the success of the Swedish consultations, which represents a positive step in the path of peace based on respect for the Yemeni people's will.

The Prime Minister thanked the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, for all the directives and guidance to the Government of National Salvation and the National Delegation, which accomplished the task with high efficiency and national responsibility.

He also praised the positive roles played by the State of Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman, the Kingdom of Sweden, the British Government, great efforts made by UN Secretary-General António Guterres, his Special Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffith, the National Delegation headed by Mohammed Abdul Salam and his deputy Jalal al-Ruwaishan towards success of the consultations and covered their proceedings.

 "We salute everyone for this great national and international achievement, which represents an important first step in the path of the peace process in the direction of achieving peace that will ensure for Yemen and its people security and stability and safeguard its sovereignty, unity " he said.

Mr. Bin Habtoor said that the results achieved during those consultations reflected the sincere interest shown by the State leaders in the peace process, and in alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people and giving priority to the interests of their country.

He stressed that the concessions made by the national delegation during the consultations confirmed its eagerness to respond to the popular aspirations of the consultations and to give an opportunity to those who sought to thwart them.
