SANAA, Dec. 13 (Saba) - The French prosecutor announced Wednesday that a grenade, firearms and ammunition were found during a raid on the suspect's house in the eastern city of Strasbourg on Tuesday evening, killing three people and wounding 13.

The source added that the Department of Counterterrorism in the Public Prosecutor's Office in Paris is investigating the operation because of "the place that was targeted and the manner of implementation of the attack and the history of the armed."

Hitz said the gunman had been sentenced 27 times in France, Germany and Switzerland for crimes related to violence and theft.

He noted that in 2015 the authorities identified him as a potential extremist while in prison.

Heitz said two people were killed and the third died of brain damage following the attack on Tuesday night, explaining the discrepancy in the number of victims announced by the French authorities.
