SANAA, Nov. 18 (Saba) - The Kremlin said preparations for the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Argentina would soon begin at the expert level.

"We will soon start preparing for the meeting's agenda and time standards," Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told the Russian broadcaster Russia-1 on Sunday.

The two presidents confirmed their intention to hold a meeting in the Argentine capital and Trump said during his farewell to Putin during the international events in Paris on November 11, "So to meet in Buenos Aires," and that the Russian president confirmed his approval.

The two presidents held a brief meeting in the French capital Paris while attending the centennial celebrations of the end of the First World War.

On Wednesday, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that preparations were underway to meet Putin and Trump on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Argentina at the end of this month.

The only full official meeting between the Russian and US presidents was held last July in the Finnish capital of Helsinki, although Trump later announced his desire to hold a new meeting with Putin, but his administration did not take any action or contacts to arrange a new meeting between the two presidents.
