SANAA, Nov. 18 (Saba) - Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf met on Sunday in Sana'a with new Head of mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), who presented his credentials on the opportunity of his new position.
At the meeting, Mr Sharaf wished to the new head of the ICRC mission every success in his mission, stressing that he would be supported by the authorities concerned and be able to carry out his huamnitarian tasks as needed.
The minister reviewed recent developments in the humanitarian situation in Yemen following the war waged by the Saudi-led aggression coalition countries for nearly four years, particularly the recent escalation in hodeida and the all-out blockade imposed by this coalition's occupation's states on Yemen.
He also welcomed the existing partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross, particularly in the field of health and following of the prisoners' file.
For his part, the ICRC official expressed his happiness for his new appointment in Yemen underlining the ICRC mission's commitment to providing all possible support and helping to remedy the humanitarian situation in Yemen.
