SANAA, Nov. 18 (Saba) - Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf met on Sunday with Head of Office at Office of the UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Nicholas Davies.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the Special Envoy's mission to start the process of political settlement, negotiations and lasting peace in Yemen.
During the meeting, the minister tackled the repercussions of escalation of the US-backed Saudi-led aggression coalition in the West Coast and its impact on the humanitarian situation, stressing at the same time the importance of adopting the peaceful political solution by the international community and the UN to stop shedding the blood of civilians .
The Secretary-General's Special Envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffith, continues his good efforts made to break the ice and begin the process of political consultations as soon as possible, thus contributing to restoring security and stability in Yemen and meeting the aspirations of the Yemeni people, Davies said.
