SANAA, Sept. 16 (Saba) – Minister of Yemeni Foreign Affairs Hisham Sharaf met on Sunday the UN envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths.
At the meeting, the UN envoy briefed the minister on the latest developments of his consultations with the resigned Hadi authorities on the peace talks.
The minister affirmed that the Saudi-led coalition hindered an arrival of the national delegation to the consultations for reaching the political settlement.
Sharaf said that the political leadership and the National Salvation Government would continue to back the peace efforts by the UN envoy.
"If the coalition countries and Hadi's authorities wanted the political settlement and the confidence-building measures, they would do immediately to launch the salaries of all state-employees and reopening Sanaa International airport for commercial, the humanitarian international aid travelling the patients for treatment," the minister said.
