SANAA, June 3 (Saba) - Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf and Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein al-Azzi on Sunday met with UN special envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffith in capital Sanaa.
During the meeting, Sharaf reaffirmed the official stance of the Supreme Political Council and the Government of National Salvation to support a peaceful political settlement and the stop of the aggression.
He confirmed that the countries of thr aggression have been obstructing peace efforts through violating all forms of international humanitarian law and human rights conventions.
The Deputy Foreign Minister said that the Yemeni people have been subjected to a brutal military aggression for four years, in which all kinds of internationally prohibited weapons were used by the Saudi-Emirates-led coalition forces against the Yemeni people, stressing that the hand of peace is still extended as long as there will be a just and honorable peace based on respect between neighboring countries.
In turn, Griffith stressed that the political solution is the only option that will contribute to end the humanitarian disaster suffered by the Yemeni people.
