SANAA, July 25 (Saba) - President of the Supreme Political Council Saleh al-Sammad received on Tuesday the Executive Director of the World Food Program, UNICEF Executive Director and the Executive Director of the World Health Organization.

In the meeting, the president al-Sammad and the UN officials discussed the efforts of the UN international organizations in Yemen to face the worsening humanitarian situation resulting from the US-Saudi-led aggression coalition and the unjust siege imposed on the Yemeni people by Saudi regime since three years, including the closure of ports, airports and targeting roads, bridges, farms and water wells by the US F-16 aircrafts and British ammunitions.

The president and the UN officials also discussed the targeting of the Yemeni national economy and the cutoff of salaries that expose more than 25 million Yemenis to famine.

President al-Sammad expressed his thanks and appreciation to the UN organizations and all other humanitarian organizations working in the humanitarian field in Yemen, confirming the government's continuation to provide all support and cooperation to all humanitarian organizations to facilitate their tasks.

The President warned of the crimes committed by al-Qaida and ISIS, especially in the southern areas which are under the occupation of Saudi and UAE, in which the last incident was the beheading of four prisoners. President al-Sammad warned that crimes threaten the social peace and security in Yemen.

Meanwhile, the UN officials briefed Mr President al-Sammad on their organizations' efforts to ease deteriorating humanitarian, health and food situations and the difficulties that hinder their tasks.
They said they will continue to combat the outbreak of Cholera and other diseases.
