SANAA, Apr 3 (Saba) - Yemen is participating in the Arab Banking Conference in Amman, Jordan, during the period April 2 to 3, Yemeni minister of trade and industry told Saba on Monday, the first external, official participation of the Yemeni National Salvation Government.
The conference is being held under the title of "Mechanism and Requirements of Sustainable Development in the Arab World."
Yemen is represented by Industry and Trade Minister Abdu Mohammed Bishr in the conference in Amman.
The minister told Saba that the participation of Yemen in the conference came at the official invitation from Secretary General of the Arab Banks Union, Wesam Hassan Fattouh.
The move is the first external official participation for a minister from the Yemeni National Salvation Government since its formation.
The minister said that the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kamran Company for industry and investment, Abdul Hafiz al Simah, who is currently in Amman, was assigned to represent the Yemeni government in the conference, due to all-out blockade imposed by the Saudi-led aggression coalition.
