SANA'A May 19. 2024 (Saba) - Deputy Minister of Health and Population Mutahar al-Marwani and Head of the Social Affairs Committee in the Capital Sana'a Hammoud al-Naqib jointly launched on Sunday a free medical camp for cataract extraction and lens implantation in Shuob district of the capital.
The week-long camp, inaugurated at Shoub Free Medical Camp, aims to provide cataract extractions, lens implants, and examinations for individuals suffering from eye diseases.
This initiative is supported by the Direct Aid Society in collaboration with the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs, the General Administration of Camps at the Ministry of Health, and the Health Office in the Capital.
During the inauguration, the Deputy Minister of Health highlighted that the Eye camp is part of coordinated efforts with humanitarian partners to alleviate patients' suffering and offer free medical services to those in need.
He commended the collective efforts to support and execute this camp, which symbolizes solidarity in assisting economically disadvantaged patients in undergoing cataract surgeries, receiving lens implants, and accessing medical care.
