GAZA May 10. 2024 (Saba) - The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, confirmed that the Zionist enemy practically refused to reject the proposal submitted by the mediators for a ceasefire, and raised objections to it on several central issues, and that “the ball is now entirely with the enemy.”
The movement said in a message addressed to the factions published by Al-Aqsa TV last night: “Our position is to adhere to the national position that agreed to the mediators’ recent proposal.”
It stressed that "the next step will be the subject of Palestinian study on the basis of adhering to the last proposal, taking into account the occupation's recent step of attacking Rafah and occupying the crossing."
It was reported that the negotiating delegation left Cairo heading to Doha.
Yesterday, Thursday, Izzat al-Rishq, a member of the Hamas political office, confirmed that the Hamas delegation had left for Cairo.
Al-Rishq said: The Zionist enemy’s invasion of Rafah and occupation of the crossing aims to block the efforts of the mediators , escalate the aggression and war of extermination.
He stressed that Hamas is committed and adheres to its position in approving the paper presented by the mediators.
Last Tuesday, Hamas informed Qatari and Egyptian mediators of its approval of their proposal regarding a ceasefire agreement.
On the other hand, the Zionist enemy escalated its aggression and invaded eastern Rafah, occupied the Rafah crossing, and stopped the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip.
