SANA'A May 05. 2024 (Saba) - Summer schools for girls in all districts of the Capital Sana'a are witnessing an unprecedented official and community turnout and interaction.
The diversity of the course activities this year has encouraged and motivated students to enroll in summer schools and race to reserve their seats.
Head of the subcommittee for summer courses for girls in the capital Ibtisam al-Mahtwari said this year witnessed a significant increase in the number of summer schools for girls, as their number reached 516 schools in all districts.
The summer schools are employed 4,500 field educational staff and includes 52 thousand students, while the turnout is still continuing, al-Mahtwari added.
She said such move reflects the awareness of parents to enroll their daughters in the summer courses to benefit from their activities.
Al-Mahtwari said that the courses include cultural, artistic, agricultural, environmental, health, social and recreational activities to provide students with meaningful knowledge that contributes to creating a conscious generation armed with Quranic culture and faith-based education, in addition to organizing many competitions at the level of the districts, as part of this year's summer courses activities plan.
She stressed the importance of integrating efforts and actively contributing to the support and success of summer activities in order to achieve their goals in consolidating belonging among young people, especially in light of the aggression's plots and schemes that target the faith-based identity.
