HODEIDA May 04. 2024 (Saba) - The caretaker Minister of Oil and Minerals, Ahmed Daris, and his deputy, acting CEO of the Yemen Gas Company, Yasser Al-Wahidi, inspected today,Saturday, the permanent gas facility project in Ras Issa oil port in Hodeida province.
Daris and Al-Wahidi reviewed the progress of work at the project site, which includes the construction of parking lots, maintenance workshops, an entry and exit plaza for locomotives, filling stations, reserve parking lots, and other service facilities.
While the Deputy Minister of Oil confirmed that the project comes in implementation of the directives of the Revolution Leader o and Head of the Supreme Political Council to prepare the gas facility at Ras Issa Oil Port in Salif to receive large ships loaded with gas and unload them with high capacity and efficiency to cover the needs of citizens in all provinces.
He pointed out that the project, which has been implemented for nine months and is funded by the company, will work to load gas via trailers at a faster speed and in a shorter period of time, in addition to providing services to trailer drivers.
Al-Wahidi explained that the company seeks to expand the facility’s storage capacity to about 250,000 tons and 24 filling plants, which will cover the provinces’ gas needs. He appreciated the efforts of all the engineers and workers in the facility, and their dedication to performing their work to serve the citizens.
