TUNISIA April 30, 2024 (Saba) - Tunisian naval units in Mahdia Province, south of the capital, Tunis, were able to recover the bodies of nine people who had been washed away by the sea, according to what the authorities announced.
The Tunisian News Agency quoted the spokesman for Mahdia and Monastir courts, Farid Ben Jaha, as saying in a statement: “Seven of the bodies, in a state of Alshaba, were recovered from the beach of Chebba and two bodies from the beach of Salqata, which are two villages in the state,” adding: All the bodies were transported to the hospital to carry out the necessary procedures and determine the identities of their owners after submitting them for genetic analysis.”
The spokesman added that an investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of the deaths of these victims.
