RAMALLAH April 30. 2024 (Saba) - Fatah and Hamas affirmed the necessity of national unity and ending the division, within the framework of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, by joining all Palestinian forces and factions in it and in its institutions.
At the conclusion of the national dialogue session between the two movements, which was held in the Chinese capital Beijing, the two movements agreed on the importance of unity of the Palestinian position regarding the aggression on the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the importance of stopping the genocidal war and the full withdrawal of the occupation army from the Gaza Strip, and coordinating joint national efforts in bringing urgent aid and relief to the Gaza Strip.
They also agreed on the need to revive the joint committees between them, address any issues facing this and stop the media rhetoric.
The two movements stressed the importance of coordinating positions and efforts in the West Bank, including al-Quds, to confront settler attacks on villages and towns, as well as attacks on al-Aqsa Mosque.
They emphasized the priority of the issue of prisoners and the need to preserve their rights and support them in this difficult stage in which they are subjected to the worst kinds of abuse in prisons.
