GAZA April 30. 2024 (Saba) - Hamas spokesman Abdul Latif al-Qanou said that ensuring a permanent ceasefire is a key pillar for moving towards the details of negotiations and the success of the agreement with the Zionist enemy entity.
Al-Qanou said in a press statement last night that what the enemy failed to achieve over seven months of destruction, devastation and genocide cannot be achieved in the lost time of the war. He pointed out that the demands of the resistance are not impossible conditions, but legitimate demands understood by the mediators and supported by the Palestinian people.
Al-Qanou stressed that "without achieving the just demands of the Palestinian people for a permanent ceasefire, the withdrawal of troops and the return of the displaced, no agreement with the occupation will succeed."
He pointed out that the Zionist enemy has not succeeded in passing the displacement project or in the policy of starvation or control of Gaza through the so-called ties of villages and families and the use of weapons of chaos and lawlessness.
A member of Hamas' political bureau, Izzat al-Rishq, confirmed on Monday that the movement had not issued any statement in its name, nor attributed to sources in the movement about the Zionist response paper. He pointed out that the response is still under study, and the leaks issued by some Zionist media about this aim to confuse and confusion.
Hamas also affirmed its adherence to its national demands for a permanent ceasefire, the withdrawal of the Zionist enemy army from the entire Gaza Strip, the return of the displaced to their areas and places of residence, the intensification of relief and aid and the start of reconstruction.
