SANA'A April 29. 2024 (Saba) - A meeting chaired today, Monday, by the Mayor of the Capital, Dr. Hammoud Abbad, discussed identifying the areas and priorities of the local authority’s budget plan for the year 1446 AH, according to the Ministry of Finance’s circular.
The meeting, which included the Chairman of the Planning and Development Committee, Sharaf Al-Hadi, the Secretariat’s Undersecretary for the Works and Projects Sectors, Engineer Abdul Karim Al-Houthi and Finance Minister Mazen Noman, and the Directors of the Secretariat’s Planning Offices Abdul Wahab Sharaf Al-Din and Finance Muhammad Al-Junaid, reviewed the procedures for linking the areas and percentages of the estimated revenues within the plan.
The meeting touched on the mechanism for completing the preparation of the local authority’s project plan for the year 1446 AH, based on the estimated connection rates for the various fields and priorities specified by Finance Ministry .
Abbad stressed the importance of adhering to the general priorities and directives for preparing the Capital Municipality’s project plan, adhering to the instructions issued by the Ministry of Finance, and working to overcome difficulties and improve the services provided to citizens.
He directed the Works and Projects Sector to implement the Khawlan Street restoration and maintenance project as quickly as possible, in which work is underway to connect the sewage network and rainwater drainage channels.
