HAJJAH April 29. 2024 (Saba) - The caretaker Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development Affairs, Dr. Hussein Maqbouli, the Minister of Public Works and Roads, Ghaleb Mutlaq, and the Governor of Hajjah, Hilal Al-Sufi, inaugurated two road projects in the province.
The two projects implemented under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Works include asphalting Al-Aman - Al-Shaghadara - Beit Al-Nahari branch roads, with a length of 11.5 kilometers, at a cost of two million and 370 thousand dollars, and the road linking Al-Amrur to the center of Al-Shahil District, with a length of 13.2 kilometers, at a cost of three million and 700 thousand dollars, with external support for the two projects.
Dr. Maqbouli, Mutlaq, and Al-Sufi were briefed on the needs of Najra, Al-Shahil, and Qafel Shammar districts for road projects, the most important of which is the completion asphalting the road linking the center of Al-Shahil District to Madikha, with a length of six kilometers.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the caretaker government, the Minister of Works, and the Governor of Hajjah also inspected the damage caused to the ferry located in Wadi Al-Qur, the link between the districts of Abs and Qafl Shammar, as a result of the floods.
Meanwhile, Minister Mutlaq pointed to the keenness of the Revolutionary Leadership and the Supreme Political Council to provide services to citizens in Hajjah and other provinces.
He stated that the Ministry will work to provide funding sources to implement more projects in the province, especially stalled projects, to alleviate the suffering of citizens in Hajjah, which lacks many necessary service projects, as well as working to provide the necessary capabilities for emergency work in the province.
While Al-Sufi governor explained that the opening of the two projects embodies the interest of the revolution leader,Sayyed Abdul Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the head of the Supreme Political Council, in providing the province’s project needs, and is a result of President al-Mashat’s visit to the province and his directives to implement many service projects in the districts.
