BERLIN April 23. 2024 (Saba) -The Chinese Embassy in Berlin strongly rejected spying accusations in Germany, against the backdrop of the German Public Prosecution’s announcement of the arrest of three citizens on suspicion of spying for Beijing.

China's Xinhua News Agency quoted the Chinese Embassy in a statement on Tuesday as confirming that the Chinese side strongly rejects the accusation that the country is engaging in suspected espionage activities in Germany.

The Chinese embassy's statement called on the German side to stop exploiting spying allegations in order to manipulate China's image politically and distort its reputation.

A few days ago, the German Public Prosecution stated that it had arrested two people suspected of involvement in spying for Russia, while the Russian Embassy in Berlin criticized the summoning of the Russian ambassador, considering that it comes in the context of Germany’s espionage obsession.
