IBB April 16. 2024 (Saba) - A meeting of the concerned authorities in Ibb province, headed by the Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs - Minister of Finance, Dr. Rashid Abu Lahoum, discussed today ,Tuesday, the projects of the Community Initiatives Support Program completed and under implementation in its first and second phases in the areas of roads, water, agriculture, dams and water barriers in the province.
The meeting, which included the Minister of Water and Environment in the caretaker government, Engineer Abdul Raqeeb Al-Sharmani, the Governor of Ibb, Abdul Wahed Salah, and the governor’s local secretary, Amin Al-Warafi, reviewed studies on improvement projects, including the rehabilitation of the agricultural nursery affiliated with the Cleaning Fund, and the improvement sector building in the province center.
The program to enhance and reduce the cost of rural water, and community initiative projects completed and under implementation in the provinces, were also reviewed, including 69 projects in Ibb province at a cost of one billion , 664 million and 233 thousand riyals.
At the meeting, the Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs stressed the interest of the Revolution Leader and the Supreme Political Council in activating the role of community initiatives in various fields... stressing the need to enhance community awareness of interest in the agricultural sector, and the importance of community initiatives in achieving an agricultural renaissance and achieving self-sufficiency.
Dr. Abu Lahoum pointed out that there is a matrix of projects in the field of water and environment that will be translated into reality during the coming period, stressing the necessity of preparing studies of community contributions for all projects that will be funded by the Ministry’s Emergency Interventions Unit.
For his part, the Governor of Ibb appreciated the interest of the revolutionary and political leadership in meeting the needs of the people of the province for necessary projects and services.
He noted the role of the Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance in completing a package of basic projects, especially in the water, roads, agriculture and environment sectors, which contributed to improving the living conditions of citizens, and his keenness to involve local authorities in the province and districts in preparing and implementing community initiatives in various fields.
