Gaza March 29. 2024 (Saba) - The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has called for the immediate lifting of restrictions on the arrival of aid to Gaza, stressing that time is moving quickly toward famine in the Strip.

UNRWA explained in a post on X, “Although we are the backbone of the humanitarian response in the Gaza Strip, our food convoys are prevented from reaching the north, where famine is imminent,” calling for the restrictions to be lifted immediately.

Since the beginning of the Zionist aggression on Gaza, the UN agency has been subjected to a fierce "Israeli" attack, which has reached the point of enacting legislation to undermine its work and prevent it from providing humanitarian aid.

Earlier, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said "UNRWA is working in very difficult conditions and the only way to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip is to stop the fire."
