SANA'A, Jul. 18 (Saba) – The Ministry of Education announced Monday the start of the new school year 1443-1444 Hijriya (2022-2023) for all school stages on the second of Muharram next, on 31 July, while the registration process and relocating study place at government and private schools starting on Tuesday.
In a statement to SABA, Minister of Education Yahya Badraldin Al-Houthi stressed the need for regular attendance of educational bodies in all classes from next Saturday. The study should be an average of five days a week, according to the school calendar, which was issued by a ministerial decision.
The school exams will begin at the end of the first semester for all the school stages on Saturday 18 Rabie' al-Akher 1444 Hijriya, on November 12, 2022, with the mid-year school vacation to begin on Wednesday 29 Rabie' al-Akher on November 23.
According to the school calendar, the study will resume for the second semester on the 9th of Jamadi Al-Awwal on December 3 and the final transfer tests for all the school stages will begin in Sha 'ban 19 1444 on March 11, 2023. The Secondary General Certificate exams begin with their scientific and literary departments on Saturday 16 Shawwal on May 6th and the following day 17 Shawwal starts Basic General Certificate exams.
